Our players
Omar Achouitar
Achouitar played in the youth academies of SV Blauw Wit and VV Union in Malden before moving to the Vitesse Football Academy in 2019. He progressed through various youth levels there. In 2023, Achouitar signed his first professional contract, which was set to run until June 30, 2026. At the end of 2025, his contract was renegotiated and extended until mid-2028, including an option for an additional season.
Since the 2025/26 season, Achouitar has been a member of the first-team squad. He made his debut for the Arnhem-based club on September 30, 2025, in a 2–4 away victory against FC Emmen. Since then, Achouitar has established himself as a key player in the starting lineup.
Achouitar is frequently described in the media as an exceptionally gifted talent. He is a left-footed central defender who combines strong defensive qualities with drive, courage, and high-level technical skills. We are thrilled to be a part of his career journey.
